Trail 257
One of my favorite places to hike or ride my mountain bike is trail 257 in Beauty Bay. From CDA you just take HWY I90 East and exit Wolf Lodge and take a right.
Follow this road for several miles, pass the Mineral Ridge hiking area and take your next left at Beauty Bay Campground (if you go over bridge you went to far).
Park at parking lot on your right where the campgrounds is; hop on your bike and follow pavement road up for about 2-3 miles and trail 257 is on your right. If you plan to hike then drive up to trail 257 and you can park on the opposite side. This is a moderate hike, moderate-advanced Mountain Bike ride.
On the first try I would just recommend and up and back trip on 257 (which ends at a dirt road). There are a lot of trails that can be taken from here but you would need specific instructions.
