Meet Jennifer

Jennifer is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has been practicing in Coeur d’ Alene since 1999. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Missouri Western State University, where she played basketball and was selected as the student athlete of the year in 1994 and graduated cum laude in 1995. The Lady Griffon basketball team finished 3rd in NCAA Division II and was inducted into Missouri Westerns Hall of Fame. She is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is adjunct faculty at WSU for the Nurse Practitioner program. Jennifer finds great satisfaction in teaching, and has instructed over 20 students in her career.   Jennifer has extensive knowledge and experience in Family Practice. She supports her practice with added experience in cardiology, women’s health, and sports medicine. Jen enjoys helping patients become more active and healthy, becoming their partner in overcoming various diseases and health issues. The core principals of Active Family Healthcare are preventative medicine and health and wellness promotion. Jen’s activities include triathlons, mountain biking, snow skiing, boating and enjoying time with friends, family, and her dogs. Jen is a 2016 CDA Half Ironman finisher and loves racing Xterra off road triathlons. She has two children (Lincoln and Lily) and is married to a Paramedic/Engineer for the City of CDA Fire Department.
